We have an ever-changing terminology in this lab. Refer to this glossary if you have any questions.
-  "All-hands"
- Everyone should attend.
- Formerly "All attend"
 
-  "All list"
- Group-wide mailing list
 
-  "The Calendar" - this may mean:
- info.gersteinlab.org/Calendar
- "GLCAL - Lab Events Curated by Lab Members" Google calendar
 
-  "The Dropbox" - this may mean:
- the Gersteinlab-meeting-sync Dropbox share, which is the day's temporary repository
- meetings.gersteinlab.org, which is the ultimate destination of files in the Gersteinlab-meeting-sync Dropbox share
- the labdropbox Google drive, which is the mirror of meetings. This is mainly for MG's use.
 
- "The Github"
-  "Group Meeting" 
- Presentation of lab member or lab group research or topic of interest. Typically weekly. Everyone should attend.
- Historically, this was the P1 meeting but has become its own meeting.
 
-  "I days"
- Stands for Interactive days. You should physically hang around in the lab.
 
-  "Journal Club" 
- Presentation of a paper. Typically weekly.
 
-  "Lab folder"
- The google folder https://bit.ly/mglab-folder including many of the lab-wise important documents.
 
-  "Meetings"
- another word for meetings.gersteinlab.org
 
-  "Minutes"
- This could mean the P1 Minutes google doc http://bit.ly/mglab-p1minutes, or the corresponding gdoc for sub-group meetings.
- There will be a weekly email thread "*MINUTES* Dates" to record P1 notes.
- There might be a seperated email with "*MINUTES*" in the email title, for notes of small sub-group meetings or individual meetings.
 
-  "P1"
- The weekly meeting about the week's meetings. The "meta meeting." Everyone should attend.
- See "Sprint".
 
-  "P2"
- These are subgroup meetings.
 
-  "Publicize it"
- Put the files in files.gersteinlab.org/public-docs/
- Instructions on how to do this are in wiki.gersteinlab.org/labinfo/Public-docs
 
-  "Scratch"
- This is referring to the google doc http://bit.ly/mglab-scratch2 for random quick note taking during some meetings.
- This should be emptied immediately after the meetings ends.
 
-  "Slack"
- Our Slack group. gerstein-lab.slack.com/
 
-  "Sprint"
- The new name of P1.
- The weekly meeting about the week's meetings. The "meta meeting." Everyone should attend.
